This is wine is made with select Barbera and Bonarda grapes sourced from old vines in vineyards with the best exposure for complete ripening. It's vinified in a traditional style, the way it has been done in Piacenza for generations. It's then bottled during spring following harvest after the natural fermentation process is complete. This is a clean, fresh wine with rich ruby red color, intense and classic aromas, a lightly vinous character, and notes of red fruit. It's dry and warm in the mouth, with great body and balance. A classic wine of Piacenza, this is the ideal pairing for salumi and hearty first courses, stewed meats, and roast white or red meats.
